The good: 1) its great if you have to clean without a lot of chemicals (pets, asthma, etc).2) the attachments do an awesome job around award fixtures like the back of the sink faucet or behind a toilet.3) the steam mop got dirt up that my swiffer mop didn't4) it got old tea stains out of my laminate counter.5) I got the extra floorpads when I ordered from HSN. It is worth it! You can have a clean pad on standby while one is in the laundry.The not great: 1) the attachments aren't easy to change, and you have to give the nozzle a few minutes to cool before you can change out. So you sort of have to plan your attack in stages based on the easiest to change (floor mop head) to the longest time to cool (steam jet nozzle) to save time. This is contrary to the "cleaning top to bottom" method.2) the long floor mop handle doesn't feel sturdy/strong.I feel like I have to be careful pushing it across the floor like if I push to hard it might snap.3) when steaming your floors, they will be a little wet since this is not a water extraction floor steamer. I was just a little surprised by the wetness, but it isn't too big a deal.4) the mop uses water very quickly. Not a big deal, just plan out your attack so you can refill at convenient break points in your cleaning routine.Overall I love this mop and use it twice a week. It is worth it. My least favorite thing is the less than sturdy handle.

We recently bought a house that has not been cleaned thoroughly for a while. So I started using the handheld part of the steam mop to clean bathrooms and kitchen cabinets... especially all the little groves and corners that you would hardly get into with even a toothbrush or Q-tip came out completely clean. I even wiped down the bathroom walls with it. I am not so convinced with the handle. When cleaning floors the whole thing feels wobbly and I am not so sure how long before it breaks.

I have an Exotic Parrot and cannot use chemicals cleaners in the house.This is a great product and great investment. I was able to clean my stove,oven, counters and floors within an hour. They came out spotless. (with no chemicals)I highly recommend this product. KrisAnn

I had the original H2O mop (steamboy mop) about 4 years ago. My mom got it for me as a gift for cleaning our house for my newborn twins. It was the most awesome thing I had for cleaning!! I was in love. Then after 3 years of use, it died :( I tried to find a replacement, but the H2O mop was no longer made. I later found out that was because they were developing the X5.From the first infommercial, I was sold. I bought it and was so happy the day it came. I tried all the attachements out. The clothing steamer will not get much use in my house.The jet nozzle works great for cracks and crevices, but the steam is not always consistantly strong, so you have to wait a minute for it to catch up.The nylon and metal scrubby brushes didn't impress me at all. I did like to use the metal one for the baked on grime on my glass top stove, but otherwise, not a lot of uses.Window attachment was way more trouble than it was worth. I did 2 windows and really had enough.So my main use is for floor cleaning and I was OK with that. For that I would buy it any day of the week.After 4 months of use (2-3x a week), it one day stopped working. I went through the troubleshooting and nothing worked. Called CS and they agreed that I did all I could and they would send out a replacement heat unit. FOR $13.90 SHIPPING AND PROCESSING FEE. Are you kidding me????? 4 months after using it and I have to pay for a defective item replacement on a $120 unit? She told me that the warranty stated that shipping would be extra for replacement item (later I did locate my warranty that came with it and there was no such stipulations). I paid it and the new unit came within a weeks time.Flash forward 4 weeks, it stopped working again. Now I am storing this thing empty (which I did not do with the first one, but it recommends it in the instructions), and I run vinegar through it every other week. Nothing. I do not have hard water, so it's not a mineral buildup thing, I have done everything perfect. I am beyond upset with this purchase. I have gone from recommending this product to everyone to hazarding people from wasting their money on this POC. DO NOT BUY!!!

We just bought a house that has all tile floors and I was so excited to get this steam cleaner. I wasn't too disappointed with the actual mop part of the product, if I was rating it just based on it's ability to clean the floors, I probably would've given it 4 stars. Sadly, that's where it ends. The entire mop is made of cheap plastic and feels very flimsy, like the handle is going to snap at any moment. When I saw the ad on tv, I was excited that they said you can use the duster on stainless steel. I tried it out on my brand new stainless steel appliances and it was the worst mistake I could've made. I used it on the lowest steam setting, and barely brushed it acrossed my appliances exactly as they had done in the commercial. When I was done, I noticed that the displays on the microwave and range were very streaky. I thought it was just water streaks, and when I used a cloth to try and polish them dry it was worse than I thought...the steam had melted streaks into the displays and ruined our brand new $400 microwave and $1,400 range! I usually never review products, but I felt that I should for this. I just want everyone who is considering buying this steam cleaner for anything other than floors to know that it can, and probably will, ruin anything you use it on. They say you can use it on stainless steel, but I advise against it unless it's something like a refrigerator door that has no display or plastic parts around it. I used it on the lowest possible setting, on something they claim it is safe to use on, so I can't imagine the damage it could cause to other products they say you can use it on.

What surprised me was how well this machine cleaned the upholstery on our sofa and love seat. It took out stains, discoloration and it felt clean, not chemical clean. The floors do not feel sticky from being mopped, it cleans the carpet well. The only things: I would not say it is the end of chemicals you may just not use them as often (I may never buy oven cleaner ever again the steam does take care of that)cleaner for hard water stains and bleach to brighten the bathtub are still necessary IMO. I have used this in my car and every room of my house and have only been impressed with the X5 H20 Mop. I have also used the Shark lift away steam pocket mop and find that the steam control, temperature and general cleaning abilities in comparison are weak. The X5 is easier to use, heats faster, directs steam with nozzle so that it isn't blasting into a cloud of steam and comes with much better accessories. There are release buttons on the machines that detach the attachments so I have not had to touch a hot attachment. The hose for garments and upholstery gets hot if you grab it anywhere other than the handle, the shark got very hot. I highly recommend this mop.P.S Do be careful, I have run the steam over my hand once with the concentrated steam attachment and it was shockingly painful.**UPDATE**While I still really like this product it did stop working after 4 months. I had tried all the troubleshooting and cleaned it with vinegar several times but the steam would not come out at the high pressure that it use to which makes this mop worthwhile. What was worst is I had placed the receipt to my mop in the box (figuring if I had to do a return it would be for replacement warranty in which case I would need the box to ship the mop) and it was unfortunately throw away voiding the warranty on my machine. SAVE YOUR RECEIPT! and only use distilled water unless you live somewhere with fantastic water (its the only thing I can imagine went wrong only using the distilled water part of the time and not every time).After seeing that so many other people had such a hard time with sending the product I don't think I could recommend this mop to anyone unfortunately because when it works it works amazingly well well I do not think Thane has put the best quality in this product.

I like this product. I have used it on my tile floors and it worked pretty well. The garment steamer works very well; better than my other garment steamer. The water chamber actually allowed me to do all of my floors (which are probably around 200sq ft) without having to refill. It workes decently on my grout in the shower as well. The mirror attachment works well also. Most of the hard water under the rim of my toilet did not come off with the steamer alone. It needed some cleaning product first.People have complained about their floors being wet after using it...People it's STEAM which is water in a different form. I did buy extra pads and if you change them out halfway through, your floors end up barely wet.My only complaint with the steamer is when using it as a garment steamer. It is difficult to have to hold the canister upright and try to steam at the same time. It should come with a shoulder strap or something so you have both hands free.The duster didn't seem to do a whole lot better than any other product. I still had random dust left. Not a big deal.PROs: Light weight, works well, can use tap water, filterless, many different uses, long cord, easy to assemble.CONs: Needs shoulder strap for when you are using it as a handheld steamer.

After doing a lot of research on steam mops and watching the informercial on the H20 Mop X5, I decided to purchase it. In fact I purchased 1 for me and 1 for my daughter. I was shocked when I opened the box. It was very small and flimsey....I decided to give it a chance and tried it that night. It was very loud and noisy and it left my floor soak and wet. I immediatly called customer service and was very fortunate, they arranged for UPS pick it up and refunded my full amount including shipping. I now own the Shark steam mop and I absolutely love it.

Gosh, it looked so great on that infomercial! Despite some bad Amazon reviews, I trusted the good ones and shelled out $110 for this item. It came quickly, I'll say that, but went downhill from there. I 1st tried it on some mildew in my shower. Had no effect at all! Ok, they advertised it would take the scale off shower doors so i tried that. Nothing! I have all laminate floors, but they said that's ok, so I tried that next. I will say that it seemed to do a really nice job on the floor... but for hours I had a funny smell in the house - like cocoa butter - so I figured it was no good for laminate as it must be steaming the finish right off it. Still searching for some merit to this item I used it to "dust". Well, that's a joke. So much more cumbersome than picking up a duster... overall a drippy mess! As others have stated, the handle is wobbly and I found it very awkward to use the hand held attachments. All in all, a piece of junk. So I called the number listed on the 'money back guarantee' and they willingly gave me a return number. Dopey me, i thought this would cover shipping, but NO. I shelled out another $15 to return the item. All in all I wasted $25 in shipping on this item. Believe me, JUST DON'T BE TEMPTED because you'll regret it too!

The H20 Mop x5, was a big disapointment.It left water marks that I had to clean up, when doing the glass, when using the steamer for wrinkles on a table cloth, it left the cloth soaked, and wrinkles remained, did not remove the mold in the grout, did not remove the dirt on my wheels,too much water left behind on my floors, left them streaking. It did do very very well on the faucets, got out dirt I didn't know was there.I returned my mop, am awaiting my refund.
