I have had the Thane H20 Mop Ultra for several months and have used it at least once a week, sometimes more, since we purchased it. I have not had the problems that some of the other reviewers have had. It did puddle a little the first time I used it, but the instructions say to expect that. It has not done that again. It cleans the floor very well and if there is something really stuck on, I go over it a few times and it comes up. Here are the pros, cons, and suggestions for use:Pros:No chemicalsWith comfort taken into consideration, better than hands and knees cleaning (which was previously my preferred method because it cleans better than any mop)Doesn't take very long to clean my kitchen floorCons:The microfiber cloths come off if they get too wetYou have to move rather quickly to prevent the heads from getting too wetYou have to have the mop head at an angle or else it comes off the floor when you're pulling it back toward yourselfSuggestions to make it work well:Wash your mop heads in free and clear detergent (no color, perfume, etc.), no fabric softener, and line dry.DON'T ADD ANYTHING TO THE WATER TANK BUT WATER (like the instructions say!).If possible, wash the heads in a hot wash as soon as you're done so the dirt doesn't dry on there.Wash your floors rather frequently--if the floors get really dirty, it's harder on the mop (though it will still do a great job, in my opinion).If you treat your mop well and follow the directions, it should work fine. It's not fair to treat it however you want and then write a bad review when it doesn't perform perfectly! :)

The H20 Mop is quite simply a sham. I have had the mop since October 2009. I've used it only a few times as I was in the third trimester of pregnancy at the time. This month I decided to use it again and OH WELL it doesn't want to work. Not a bit of steam. Customer Service is extremely rude and dishonest I even had the pleasure of being talked down to by one of their supervisors. They actually propose you take the entire thing apart. Like who has time for that. They send parts at a time to fix the junk they sold in the first place. What a mess. Save your money folks. I would honestly never buy another "item" from this sham of a company again.

I have never written a review before, but I felt I had to with this one! I bought this mop 2 years ago and have only used it a few times because every time I try it I get frusterated all over again. I have been on the search for the best mop out there and this seemed to be the answer - WRONG!! The pad doesn't stay on the machine, it slides right off each time I use it. My husband has tried tightening it several different ways, but each time after a few minutes it slides off again. Plus when you go to put it back on it's HOT because of the steam. It takes SO much longer to mop my floor with this mop. Now when it works, it does a pretty good job, but you have to hold it in place for at least 15 seconds on hard spots to get them clean. The cord is constantly getting in the way as well. I do like the hand held steamer to clean other things, so that is why I kept it, but now after having it 2 years and only using it a handful of times, the steam stopped working!! SERIOUSLY!!! I am SO disappointed in this product. What a waste of money. I would NOT recommend this mop to anyone or buy it ever again!! Try the good old Liberman Wonder Mop from walmart, you can wash the head of the mop so it stays clean between uses. It's so much better than this one! DO NOT BUY the H2o ultra!! I wish I had found the negative reviews before I wasted my money!

I loved it when it was working. I took care of it after each use. I only used it may be 8 times. Then it just stopped working. I did what they said to do. No luck now I'm out $125.00. Do not buy it please.

I ordered the mop for my wife directly from their website, but no one will see my review there. I am sure they will just remove it. Anyways, I will start by saying this mop is the biggest piece of junk ever made! It is not at all user friendly. Of course since it is a mop that is what we tried first, using it as the mop. It stuck to the floor, didn't clean anything and just kept puddling. I tried to turn it off and to no avail it stayed on. I am all about second chances so I tried it in the shower, did absolutely nothing but pull the sealant out of the cracks in the tile. The worst part is that I went to return it and they told me I was going to be out shipping and handling which was over $40. I got my return number and sent it back. The return postage cost me $25 to be back. I paid about $170 for this thing and lost $65 on postage. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you buy it after readiung this review, you are crazy! I am not exaggerating at all. You have been warned! I would give it a no star but it would not let me.

Got this as a gift. The mop head cloth is flimsy. The infomercial did not tell you to have a towel handy to mop up the water, it steams so much, but the directions did. Water everywhere. It does not clean the shower doors at all. Nor did it clean the carpet. I tried several different spots to no avail. It's heavy and clumsy. My old Uereka is great. Glad I did not throw it out for this very bad product.$43.00 shipping to get it and $43.00 to send it back. Not worth sending back. Off to Good Will.

I got my H20 mop in December of 2009 and I love it! (I'm a neat freak) We eat by black light for Halloween and I was horrified to see all the spots on my floor and disgusted! My husband actually bought me the h20 mop, and after using it, I did my own black light test and saw a MAJOR DIFFERENCE in the cleanliness of the floor. When I first used the handheld steamer I thought I burnt a hole in my wall! But no, it was dirt! The dirt was melting right off! Like I said, I'm a neat freak and was shocked to see all the dirt on my walls. I totally recommend the H20 Mop! So easy to use, if my 70 year old grandma can use it so can you!

I was hesitant to buy this because of the mixed reviews, but Consumer Reports has it rated #1 so I took the chance and I'm glad I did. I bought it to replace a Shark Steam Pocket mop that I thought was working well. But the handle snapped off and couldn't be fixed so I looked for something else.This mop is much heavier and sturdier than the Shark. I don't anticipate this handle breaking. It puts out more steam and at a steadier rate. The Shark puts out steam based on movement, but this one just pumps it out all the time.The head swivels nicely without being too loose. It holds an enormous amount of water and has a very long cord, so no more stopping to refill or find another outlet.I did buy the "coral" mop heads becasue I have ceramic tile and they did a fantastic job in the grout lines. The Shark glided over but this one got them clean. I also have some hardwood and it cleaned them evenly without leaving too much water behind, even on the first use.An added bonus is that you can remove the steamer from the mop casing and use it handheld. It puts out a lot of steam and I can think of many uses (cleaning the shower door tracks, grill, etc.)There are a couple of silly design flaws. The opening to the water tank is ridiculously small and I had to dig out my smallest kitchen funnel to get water in it without making a mess. And there is only one hook to hold the cord, so you can't wrap it up neatly. They won't affect performance but will be permanent annoyances. However, neither is enough to make me wish I hadn't bought it.All in all, it's a very sturdy mop that does a great cleaning job.

This product did not perform as I had expected. When trying to steam away grease in both my oven and my stovetop, it would get a few places, but most had to be removed with chemicals and scrubbing. Also, even though the instructions stated to hold down the off button for a few seconds and it would go off, I held it down for a good minute and a half and it still didn't go off. As a matter of fact, the only way I could get it to go off was by unplugging it. When cleaning my floors, I had a hard time getting the pad to stay on the machine. Also, unless you stayed in the same spot for quite a while, it would not remove just regular tracked in dirt stains. This was on a vinyl tile floor. My friend was helping me. She cleaned half the kitchen with the swifer wet jet and I cleaned the other half with the H20. We really could not tell a difference. Very disappointed! Will probably return for refund.

I was initially very happy with this product. It produced great steam and worked well. It leaked a little bit from the outside which I assumed was normal and the body would get really hot if on for a long time. I bought it in February and only 5 months later it was producing little to no steam. I did what the troubleshooting website suggested to remove any limescale, I cleaned the spout with a needle. It started to produce more steam but still not the same and was now pouring liquid from the base of the steamer. I took it apart and everything was fried, rust everywhere. I will admit I did put products in with the water even though they say to only use just water. So if you decide to get this product only use water, or small amount of vinegar. Don't do what I did. But I have a sneaking feeling that the leaking I saw initially was not normal and did contribute to the problem I have now. So I would also suggest to keep a close eye out for water leaking from the wrong areas. This probably could have been a better product if I would have taken care of it better.
