Hi. Our older similar model of this type of Panasonic vacuum cleaner's switch broke, so ordered this one, judging this should be better than the old one, as it has a much better nozzle, in the picture. Once the package arrived, we were quite disappointed that the nozzle was NOT the one as in the picture, but a much cheaper & less functional one. The Panasonic home page shows the same picture with the 'better' nozzle. I should call up Panasonic for what's this all about. Other than that, works fine just like the old one, and now has a metal (not plastic) straight hose.[Update 2011/12/13]Hi again. After a lengthly process of calling Panasonic USA many times over near a month, the proper 'as in the picture' nozzle head arrived at my doorsteps suddenly. Yep, this is the one. A bit shorter in width, though has wheels and an extra degree of freedom. Please see my posted pictures. The Part # YMV96QAR000. I would suggest all buyers to check if they received the correct nozzle head. If not, call Panasonic USA.

If you one of those people who prefer car or truck that is louder - then you'll be happy. It sucks well, though, and is small and light. It's not terribly loud, yet louder than my defunct Panasonic with beater brush in powerhead - but that one would cost 5 times more. 3 stars because of that. Don't like noise.Re: carpet nozzle not exactly like on the picture. Who cares? As long as it's not a powerhead with its own motor for carpet cleaning, I see no difference.FOLLOW UP DECEMBER 27:After using it a few times, noise is not its biggest problem. It doesn't have major problems. Noise is disturbing, but I can get used to this level of noise.Pros: price, auto-rewind cable, small size and weight.Cons:Sections of metal tubes and T-shaped floor tool don't hold together well - I had to re-insert the floor tool a couple of times during 10-minute session as it fell out, and the same with tubes. There are no snap buttons, it holds together by friction force.Typical for many vacuums lame design of casing (or I'm getting dumb) - handle is at the rear end that becomes bottom end in a vertical storage position. Why not placing handle at the front end near hose? Fixed the problem with a rope loop around the hose socket.Efficiency is adequate for non-powered type of brush - don't expect much on carpets, it will pick up dust and not much more, but this is what you get with a lightweight brush - it is light because non-powered.Verdict: sending it back to Amazon and getting $200 vacuum, reportedly quieter and with snap-buttons. Buying sight unseen again.

I needed a small vacuum for my RV that was light and easy to use and powerful and this is it! The dust bag is so easy to change. I also use it to blow the leaves off my deck. It is not as powerful as a leaf blower, but it still does the trick. If you have throw rugs you would have to adjust the lever on the wand so it is not as powerful, but it works well on rugs too and I have 1 dog and two cats in the RV. It is well worth the money!

I gave this machine 5 stars even tho I have two minor issues. But first, on the positive side: it really sucks, and for all the power, it's relatively quiet. I can talk to another person in the room while it's running. Couldn't do that with my old Dirt Devil. I consider it very light weight and easy to handle. I wanted a small machine that I didn't have to drag through the narrow hall of a ranch house. I use this mostly on bare hardwood floors, but the nozzle does roll easily on rugs. I was expecting a bagless machine, but when I looked again after I received it, the post very clearly stated that it was bagged, so it was my mistake. The opening on the bag is very wide, so it's not always necessary to toss the bag as it gets full. I take it outside to the burn-can and pull chunks of debris (mostly dog hair and dust) right out of the opening.The two negatives are minor. 1. It comes with a crevice tool, but there is nowhere on the machine to store it. When the machine is standing upright, there is a place to hook the back of the hose to keep it from flopping around, which is a very good feature, but the crevice tool will very easily get lost. I can't think right now of where I may have put it.2. A 17 foot electric cord is not long enough in a ranch house. I plugged the old dirt devil in twice, once near each end of the house. To do that with the Panasonic I need to use an extension cord. This turns out to be Ok. I leave the 17 foot cord retracted and just coil up the extension when I'm finished vacuuming. the machine stands in the closet with the hose attached and the cord hangs on a hook, so I was able to give the machine a 5 even with these two minor flaws.As I mentioned above, I have been reusing the original bag and have not yet ordered replacements. Other posts have mentioned that the bags connected to this machine on the sale page are not the correct bags. I believe I have located the correct C-13 bags and I will edit my post when I find out if I am correct.

This buddy very powerful, especially given its compact size. Works awesome on bare floors, sliding smoothly across the surface, yet does a good job on my bathroom rugs.The noise level is just fine, and I did not notice any plasticky odor.Doing the floors is no longer a torture, yay!This vacuum beats up all previous vacuums I've ever used. And at this price? Seek no further, just get it.

Light weight, strong power, and clean well both hard wood/carpet. Price is great. I had a Panasonic vacum cleaner before that lasted for 10 years. So I bought another Panasonic one and love it!

I think they got very close to creating a GREAT vacuum for non-carpeted floors here, but got bored or hungry or something and settled on this.The suction is quite impressive, and impressively loud. The body is light and maneuverable. It's easy to use and effective at getting all the loose bits off the floor.HOWEVER. They stopped thinking when they made the accessories. Complete organizational failure. The hose and handle pieces just push together, with no locks. The floor attachment does the job, but it emanates cheapness and I have a feeling the little rollers aren't long for this world. There is no upholstery brush, and the crevice tool is pathetic. Really. It might be 3" long. What am I going to do with that, Panasonic? Not get my crevices very clean, that's what.

Just got thjis, so no long-term reliability comments, but it seems well-madeWhat I like:Light - so easy to carry up and down stairs - you can easily carry it with one hand.Tiny - it fits on one stair. It sits vertically or horizontallyRetractable chord - An absolute mustPowerful - It picks up more dirt than my shop vacBagged (how the heck is having to empty a disgusting can of filth considered an innovation? The bags are $1/each and well worth it.Design - This is the iPod of vacuums - the design of the motor is first-rate - it rolls well, is easy to carry, and even has a little notch to hold the wand in place in the closet. Bravo.What I don't like:No power-brush head - you have to spend another $100 on a bigger, bulkier unit to get this featureOnly two attachments! The (non power) floor attachment works great and there is a crevice tool, but a brush tool at the very least would be appreciatedNo place for attachments (well, the crevice tool fits in the bag area)Color: The red color is a little pink in my opinion. Luckily I am comfortable in my masculinity, but really, I would have paid more for orange. I love things that are orange.

We've owned a couple of similar Panasonic vacuums in the past and this matches and exceeds the features. For the price it is a great value and you can't go wrong with it. Best part is its size, very easy to move it around. The blower attachment also seems like a good feature although we have not used it yet. I generally don't like "bagless" vacuums because the dust tends to escape/dissipate when you empty it.This has a bag, it gets full and you simply toss it, no hassles. I ended up ordering a 2nd one that'll be stored until this one gives up. Better than buying any extended warranty on these things.My only gripe is that I wish they would cover the power cable with a relatively durable sleeve to avoid breakage (not a big deal), but for the price, you cant beat the no-compromise 11 amp motor. Good luck with your choices!

This is a great lightweight vac that has a lot of power. I bought three of these units for gifts and everyone of the new owners are delighted with the performance of these units. I would recommend Panasonic canisters as I am the owner of three different Panasonic models.
