I have used the Little Green Machine in the past and bought this to use on the cars that I detail and small stains on rugs in the house. I use it for small areas which are soiled with coffee or soda. I bought it because it had a higher amperage rating than the Green Machine. I have used it and it works very well for small areas. The water heater is just OK and I find that using an external source like an external sprayer and brush to loosen and wet the stain/dirt works the best; then I use the Bissell to suck up all the residue. I like the power of the suction and it works well. The dirty water tank has a cut off feature that will "pop" when filled to the limit which is nice, so you won't overfill it. After using it I clean it out any leftover dirt or stuff in the hose, tank or fittings. I know some reviews have said that it doesn't work well or clogs, but I have found that taking a little time to clean it out when done will eliminate most of those problems. Good for smaller areas; best to use proper cleaner for the stains.

I'll start off the review by acknowledging that I haven't owned the cleaner for very long, and thus, I can't be certain about possible reliability issues in the future. The machine is easy to use, there is a basin for soap and water and another basin for dirt and dirty water. The power cord was advertised as being longer on this model, and it is a surprisingly long cord. I used the machine to clean out my s.u.v. Jeep, which hadn't been vacuumed for months, had rotting chicken on the floor, spilled gasoline, dog smell from my two dogs, and lots of sand from my recent two day hiking trip. The Interior before cleaning smelled strongly of rotted chicken, gasoline and I shudder to think what else. As you vacuum up the disgusting fluids from your automobile's carpet you can see through the opaque plastic the revolting collection of black water, matted hairballs and clumps of dirt. The fragrance that emanates from my Jeep's interior is no longer that of petro-chemicals and rotting bird flesh but a light and almost undetectable odor of cleaning detergent. In summation the Bissell product passes my shakedown cruise with flying colors, Amazon has helped my opinion of the product by vending it at such a reasonable price.Thanks for reading my review.-Ben

it doesnt suck up water as good as hoped for. the heater only works if vacuum is on. so water doesnt heat up any more than what you put in it. i thought i could let it sit and heat up further, it has 2 seperate switches!! but you must turn on vacuum to turn on heater, who wants to hear a vacuum run for 10 more minutes than you have to. poor design flaw in my eyes and EARS!

This was a great find for me, and has all the things I like in a cleaner. It's got a long cord & is compact enough to use anywhere. The attachments are good, though I wish they came apart for cleaning. No biggie if you rinse it after every use. I love the fact that it warms the water up... warm water always cleans better. It is actually uncomfortably hot when it sprays out, so thats great. Suction is great. No cleaner will ever pick up 100%, but it left even my fabric couch wet for only a day in high humidity. Wouldnt have any other product... I just hope it works for a LONG time!!

We bought this product to use on upholstery & inside vehicles. We used it to clean the entire inside of our van which was quite dirty & it now looks like new. We even did the headliner that had fingerprints on it. Everything is clean now. It did a great job.We had an old stain from previous owner on our bedroom carpet & had no idea what it was. Other cleanings would remove it but it would come back again after a few days. It's been over a month since we cleaned it & so far it has not come back.It's one of the best investments we have ever made.

I have two small children and a lovely dining room set with light beige fabric cushions. My three year old found some markers and drew pictures on several of my chairs. My other one spilled chocolate syrup and milk on another chair and we didn't notice until it had dried. Along comes the Bissel Auto Care Deep Cleaner and voila! My chairs look brand new. I didn't use anything but warm water in the machine, and I lightly scrubbed the stains with a mix of ivory dish soap and water before using the machine. But it all came out- even the permanent black marker. All I can say is THIS THING WORKS AND WILL WOW YOU! Fantastic- and worth every penny!

This is a great machine. The range on the sprayer is a little wider than it should be so it can get messy real quick if you don't have good aim. The suction is good. Because it's for personal use and not professional, you might have to go over an area twice. Does a great job with removing odours too.The only inconvenience with this machine is that it's hard to purchase the solution in the U. S. Virgin Islands and Amazon cannot ship the cleaning solution.

This is an excellent purchase if you want to clean your car or household upholstery items!I bought the Bissell Auto Care ProHeat Compact Multi-Purpose Deep Cleaner to clean the upholstery in my wife's car as well as my own. So far I have only had the time to use it in one vehicle, but it did a really nice job. The machine comes with a 15 foot power cord, so it's easy to plug it into a socket in the garage and still reach all parts of your car. The hose from the machine is durable, though not heavy-duty, and extends about 3 feet. The two attachments are plastic, with plastic bristles, but they are durable and showed no signs of wear-and-tear after scrubbing five seats and the carpeted floor of my Toyota Corolla. This machine comes with an 8 ounce bottle of cleaner, which is enough for one car with a some extra left over. The cleaner and water are super easy to put in the unit, and I really appreciate how the dirty water container is separate from the clean water. This is necessary because the machine has a built-in vacuum; the same primary attachment sprays the clean water/solution mix, scrubs the solution into the upholstery, and then suctions it back into the dirty water tank. It does all of this very nicely. The brush head/vacuum is not very large however (only about 3 inches wide), so it will take some time to do a thorough job of cleaning your car or couch!Now for the reasons it got 4 stars instead of 5: first, the machine is not too heavy, but it's not the lightest of things to move from seat to seat. I would guess, with water, it weighs about 10 pounds. This was no big deal for me, but it may be for some people. Second, it has a water heater feature, which heats the water up to about 25 degrees hotter than room temperature. At least this is the claim. I found that the hot water was intermittent, sometimes hot, other times warm, and other times regular temperature. This isn't a big deal, but the box boasts that it creates consistently hot water. This is not the case. Finally, I also gave it four stars because we had a decent (though nothing crazy) stain in our front seat, and the machine got most of the stain out, but there is still some remaining that it could not remove even with several sprays, scrubs, and vacuuming. This is probably more an issue with the cleaning solution that it came with rather than the unit itself, but it's still worth mentioning.All in all though, even with the sporadic hot water and just "okay" cleaning solution, the machine is very nice to have! It cleans up pretty easily as well: took me about five-ten minutes at the kitchen sink. Everything is portable and easy to store. This is the first deep cleaning machine I have bought and I am very pleased with it. I look forward to using it on my other car and my couch next!!

I'm not blown away or particularly disappointed. Power cord is long and heavy duty but the suction hose is like 2 ft long??? I have to drag the unit through the vehicle to use it. (I clean cars for a living) This is a bit annoying. The heater function works OK I guess but the hot water sprayer shoots almost everywhere but near the brush and extraction nozzle??? I wipe more water off the rest of the interior than gets on the upholstery. I try my best to make it work. I owned a (now discontinued) Hoover brand several years back that worked great. I'll use this model until it breaks and replace it with something more to my liking. I will say it stores nicely and travels well being so compact. Unfortunately, I bought it for cleaning not for storing.

I have had this item for about a month and we got a puppy about 3 weeks ago and I think if you have a puppy or kids then you have to have the cleaner. I have not had any leaks yet and is easy to use and easy to clean. Everyone says that when you get a puppy that you better stock up on carpet spray cleaner and paper towels, but I say to hell with that, get this item and save. The heater works great and I just spray the area and let it set for a couple minutes and then you vacuum it up. The suction power is great. The fluid that comes out when you spray is wider then the brush head but as long as you keep it lower its to easy to use. I would suggest anyone and everyone have this in there home. It says auto cleaner but as you can tell I use it for the house. I used it in my truck and it worked just as great because it is portable and easy to use.
