I love this vac and I'm happy I bought it. I thought about buying an upright, but then decided I wanted the flexibility of a canister. I wanted to be able to vacuum my blinds, my furniture, my ceiling fan blades, etc. Having a 7' long hose makes that possible. What's impressive is that this vac has a 12 amp motor, much more powerful that my previous vac. When I turned it on, and then turned on the power head, things started to happen. All the little icky things that were on my carpet (pieces of lint, thread, glitter, sequins, etc.) those things were immediately picked up by this vacuum on the first pass. With my old vac, I got tired of vacuuming in the same place over and over again just to pick up lint from a pair of socks. This one grabs it and asks for more! I'm amazed at how quiet this unit is. Best of all, after I was done vacuuming, my granddaughter looked around and said, "Oh Nana! It looks like you have brand new carpet!"

This vacuum is exactly the same as the AQUA color one - 2029219 EXCEPT the aqua version includes a power brush pet hair upholstery attachemnt. The aqua version is priced around $218 and the tangerine is priced at $149 at Sears. Just saying, this particular seller on Amazon has the tangerine one way overpriced and is going to fool some people!

This vac is powerful (12 amps)! I love that you can turn off the beater motor with the flip of a switch when you land on hard surfaces, such as lino or wood. It also has attachments stored right in the body of the vac (cover flips up like the trunk of your car to reveal them). Its cord is super long which means I can vacuum my whole upper level from just one plug. It's also much easier to vacuum under beds and chairs and tables with this vacuum than my Kirby upright.My carpet looked good for days after I vacuumed. My stairs even seemed "fluffier"! It was so much easier to carry this vac up the stairs as I vacuumed than the heavy Kirby. BTW, the wand & beater stand up on their own when you need to leave the vacuum for a moment to move something, which is handy.There is a little hook on the back by the cord to make sure the cord doesn't retract while you're using it.I was very lucky and found this vacuum on Craigslist for $85 new-in-the-box! However, it's also worth the $200+ price tab for ease-of-use and effectiveness.

we bought a new kenmore after being happy for years with one we bought back in the early 90s. but the new one lasted just a few months and now won't even start. $200 down the drain.

In Europe, we are all about canister vacuum and That was I was looking for here. After having a great vacuum for a while, it was time to change it and since the one we had got discontinued (too bad!), I started shopping for a powerful, easy to handle vacuum canister. I saw good reviews for this one, so we gave it a try. Given the proce of those babies, you don't want to change them every year! It has been almost 2 years now that we bought the kenmore and it lost power. The handle turned out to be heavy and hard to manoeuver over time.My piece of advise, save your money!

This vacuum cleaner is light and the swivel is a wonderful feature.However, I was for some reason thought that it came with cleaning attachements, but it does not.So you can clean floors, but it is hard to clean steps and other places without attachments.It is good quality and cleans well.

I got this vacuum thru the recommendation of a friend. I'd never owned a canister vacuum. I loved it when I got it--it's very lightweight, and easy to pull around, and the suction is very good. It works really well too, on the "floor" setting to vacuum on the hard wood floors. After about 6 months, I started having trouble when I pushed the ON button. I went to vacuum yesterday, and now it just clicks, and won't turn on at all. I bought a warranty for it (I bought it at K-Mart), so we'll see, but I am really disappointed. I thought I had found a vacuum that I like. I've only had it 6 months.
