I love this vacuum! It was easy to put together, and is very well made. Sure it's a bit costly for a cordless vacuum, but definitely worth the money. I've had the much cheaper version of Shark cordless vacuums and within a year, they fall apart. Not the Navigator. This vacuum is built to last. I have a long haired dog and the vacuum easily picks up all the pet hair. The best part is it steers like a Dyson. The 'docking station' is amazing. Much easier than having to plug a cord into the vacuum itself,and unplugging it when it comes time to use the machine. There are only two things I don't care for about this vacuum, and their really not even that big of a deal. The on / off button is located on top of the unit, and because of this location when I try to vacuum under my couch, the couch hits the on / off button, and shuts the vacuum off. No big deal, I just have to remember not to push the vacuum that far under the couch. Secondly (and this is just weird), the recharging light is so BRIGHT, it lights up my whole kitchen at night with a eerie blue light. All things considered, I love this vacuum and have already recommended it to all my friend.

This cordless vacuum clearner REALLY works! I couldn't believe the cat hair & dust it picked up after only 5 minutes of use. I didn't even know all that dirt was there!

I ditto all the positive comments from other users. I like to use this product at home and especially at our church, where we have a lot of chairs to vacuum around. Without having the annoyance of a cord, vacuuming can be done much more quickly. And it gets the job done well, with an easy canister clean-up and a small space commitment for storage.My only wish is that Shark would make the button more durable. After applying what I felt was a reasonable amount of pressure (there's a footprint symbol next to the button), it jammed. I could not get the button to budge and I had to return my unit for exchange. So now, with my replacement, I am taking extra care to very gently press the button, even if I have to stoop down and use my finger.So be warned: be very very gentle with the button - hopefully Shark will fix this issue in future models. Otherwise, everything else is great.

I have a long-haired dog and a cat. I use this machine daily to pick up dust and hair on my hard floors. Works great. I also use it for a quick clean up on my area rugs. So easy to use - no cords and it maneuvers great. Have only had for a few weeks.

Quite happy with this. Went looking for a motorized brush vacuum, and this was clearly the best of the selection in store at Target.It has a single button for two brush speeds, and that's it. No attachments. It assembles with one screw. I dig the small size but if your home is palatial you might be disappointed.You can twist the handle and the vacuum head "turns". I figured this was a gimmick, but it turns out to be surprisingly useful in small spaces to get all the nooks and crannies. The handle can also tilt back quite far, allowing me to get under the bed when I'm too lazy to move it.The bagless "capsule" is easily removed and emptied. I didn't even make a mess.The roller brush doesn't look like much, but it seems to work well. My first use after charging it up resulted in a surprisingly full "capsule" -- a good thing in this case!I would have preferred a corded version, as I didn't want Yet Another Charger around the house. Fortunately even with the battery, this is a very lightweight vacuum (under 10 lbs). Don't tell anyone that I picked it up and used it on the walls for fun.For me this replaces a 20 year old Hoover that finally died in a most spectacular way (repairable, but getting passed down, now that I've got my trusty "Freestyle" (as I like to call her))

I bought one of these for my daughter for her dorm room and one for my Mom. They both like it A LOT !! My Mom enjoys it because it is lightweight and cleans well. Surprisingly powerfull for a battery powered device. The light weight is real plus. I like the charging station, no need to look for a charging cord, just drop the vacuum cleaner into the charger. I use it more than my corded, heavy unit. With no cord I just push it from room to room without having to look for an electrical outlet. I do wish though that it had the power switch on the handle with the hard floor/carpet selection there. Still it deserves 5 stars. I am very happy with this vacuum (I gave my old heavy unit away).

I have a very busy family and require a vacuum that will pick up grass and leaves that the dog and kids track in across the hard wood floors and area rugs. I use it daily.This vac is very powerful but gets CLOGGED very easily. After each use I have to pull the brush out and clear the pet hair and grass from the small hole that leads up the back of the cleaner before it ever gets to the canister. Once it is clogged it stops picking anything up. I will end up going back to the sweeper as it picks up more then this vacuum.

This vacuum rocks. Can't believe how powerful this vacuum is for a cordless. Works just like a plug in vacuum. I have used it many times between charges and it keeps going. I like the fact that the brush still turns on on bare floors. Easily pick up dirt on floors going over only once. The only con I can think of is it is a little hard to turn but other than that definately worth the money.

I purchased this vacuum because my dog literally ate the cord on my shark infinity nv29. I owned the nv29 for about 5 years and I am fully convinced it is one of the best vacuums ever made.The freestyle is small. Actually when the box came I couldn't even believe there was a vacuum in the box. To put it together you push the middle section into the bottom section and the top handle section gets put on the middle with one screw.The vacuum is very lightweight and it has a swivel action to make it easier to move around. My 5 year old daughter can even vacuum the floors with no problem at all. She actually likes to vacuum and feels like she is being awarded when she gets to vacuum.I don't keep it on the charger because I'm afraid this will ruin the vacuum battery. I honestly don't know how long the battery lasts, I have been able to vacuum 4 good size rooms about 5 times each so far with out losing any power.I do have one problem with the vacuum and that is that does not have a detachable handle for doing corners and ect. Because of this I had to repair my nv29 because I have 4 kids and they get crackers and other things stuck in corners and crevices that need to be cleaned which can not be done with the freestyle.As for the power, it has a lot of power. I would say almost as much as my nv29. For someone who has never owned a shark, I would say about 5 times more power than the average vacuum. If you don't believe me buy one. When I first started using it I went under the couch and it sucked up a sock that was hidden under there and I don't mean the brushes picked it up, I laterally mean it was sucked up. This is how much power a shark vacuum has. To do a test I first used this vacuum and went back over it with my nv29 and my nv29 picked up just a little bit this one missed. I would contribute this to the fact that you can not adjust the height on it.Another thing I wanted to mention that I really like is that it has two speeds one for carpet and one for bare floors. This is very nice and I got to use it the other day on a bag of powdered sugar that my kids spilled in the kitchen floors.
